Two-Word House Cleaning Methods
Cleaning a house can be thought of as a two-word system. The Two-Word system is one of a number of house cleaning methods that can help people to achieve a clean home easily and efficiently. The most important part of the system to remember are the two words: lighten up. House cleaning should not be considered a crushing obligation. Certainly cleaning a house is necessary for health and happiness, but it is not as vital as having enjoyable family time, nourishing food or interesting work.
There are 6 action steps in the Two-Word system house cleaning method. Spending just 30 – 60 minutes using these actions will result in a clean home.
Action #1: Pick Up
The first action of this house cleaning method is to go around the home and pick up all the scattered items in the various rooms. It’s very convenient to have a large bag, box or even a wheeled cart to collect all the items that belong in another room.
Action #2: Put Away or Throw Away
The next step is to put away all the various items. A necessary part of this house cleaning method is making sure that each room or family member has enough storage. Storage can be in closets, shelves, bins or chests. If there is room, it is very convenient to have different containers for different categories of laundry. This makes laundry time much easier. All the trash should be collected and thrown away. Carrying a large trash bag from room to room makes trash disposal much easier.
Action #3: Make Up
This action has nothing to do with lipstick or eye shadow. At this point the house cleaner has picked up and put away the clutter in the living, dining and family rooms. Now it’s time to move into the bedrooms. After picking up and putting away the bedroom clutter, the next step is to make up the beds.
